So... It's been forever since I have updated my blog. Or visited it. Seriously it has been almost a year. Sorry my dear bloggie you knew how busy I was right.. I can't really commit to updating here so often coz of the piling up work in college. SOPHOMORE YEAR IS NO JOKE MAN! Maybe just in Hong Kong yikes.

It's only been three weeks since the start of the new semester and I'm choking up with stuff. From assignments, choosing what society to join, applying for stuff to even worrying about securing an internship for the coming summer (what? this summer hasn't even ended). This explains why I almost *cough blood* when I heard this new freshmen telling me that he thinks the academic environment here isn't really strong.

Btw we had much more Malaysian juniors coming into HKU this year compared to our miserable numbers last year. But sigh.. only one moved into my residential hall. New roomie is fine, our level of cleanliness/messiness is about the same so it is quite good. NOTHING COMPARED TO MY EX ROOMMATE.

As you would have figured out by reading the title, Cafe Corridor is hidden, tucked in a narrow corridor right opposite to Time Square, Causeway Bay. I had a bad time searching for it, maybe walking pass it 3 times without noticing.

As usual, a cup of Flat White

French toast with a twist. Instead of the usual squarish thick bread, they serve it with baguette I suppose. And drizzle it with generous amount of honey.

In this confined space, the walls are decorated with instax, polariods, scribbles and doodles.

In short, this place is perfect for a caffeine fix session but a large group is not recommended since the place is small and always packed.

Life would be so good if I have more time for cafe hopping.

Finally found the time and a lovely girl which shares the same interest as me. Scouting for food and traveling! ^.^ Coincidentally wore skirts together gether and suffered so much with one hand holding onto the skirt and the other hand busy googling the route on phone. #lifeofagirl

Our initial plan was to have brunch at The Brunch Club, but ended up in Classified, the Sheung Wan branch. It was drizzling so we couldn't get the outdoor seats and enjoy the breeze.

The ambiance here gives a little of the outside-of-Asia kinda feel. Weekends like that are wonderful.

The eggs ben is just ordinary, nothing to rave about. I would prefer the English muffin to be slightly thicker.

It's kinda difficult to find a day where both of us are free together, so we can't waste anytime. Off we went to IFC for some grocery shopping and desserts. And now City Super has become one of my favorite supermarket.

The lemon tart is lovely, but the only downside of Petite Amanda is their dessert spoon. A good dessert place can't simply use plastic spoons, especially when enjoying a tart. The skin is more towards the hard type, so it isn't easy at all as we couldn't exert much force onto a plastic spoon. Hopefully they will change it soon!

It just hit me that I have not blog about my favourite teahouse. Most of my friends in UK were busy last weekend, catching the train to Nottingham for the Nottingham Malaysian Games. Looking at all those photos where high school or college friends reunite, it really makes me miss those friends and the nice place there.

If I ever have another chance to visit Notts, White Rabbit TeaHouse is a must-go, on the very top of my list.

Loving every detail in that small shop. From the setting, the teapots, the cutlery, the food and even the washroom lol. Yes i mean it when I say you must visit their washroom haha

In short, The White Rabbit Teahouse is a fashionable yet cosy place to enjoy home-made sweet and savoury snacks throughout the day. In particular they specialise in afternoon tea, deliciously hand decorated cake and home-made scones, served in traditional china.

Do pay a visit there when u visit to Notts!

If you are one big French crepes fan like me, La Creperie is definitely a place you should visit when you are in Hong Kong or Shanghai or Ho Chi Minh. The one that I've visited is in Wan Chai. I would recommend you to go for their set lunch or afternoon tea as the original price is quite steep.

Remember to add on HKD20 to have a 'bowl' of Brittany's famous Apple Cider

I really love it!

It is never too full to have both savoury crepe known as 'galette' and the sweet crepe. But I had to admit I'm more of a galette person as I love the crispy-brown-buckwheat skin with all the delicious fillings. The set comes with a crepe and coffee/tea, so we got ourselves two different flavour.

The dessert crepe I had was quite special coz it's actually cooked apple with some kind of alcohol as the topping. I couldn't recall the name of it but the flame on it is just too cool lol...
