Baht-room rules: Relax when you are not having a tight schedule

Since this trip to Bangkok is not mainly about shopping, plus it's with daddy, instantaneous room upgrades please! Hey i didn't ask for that coz I'm used to staying in those not too exp hotels in Bangkok coz I'm only gonna take a shower and sleep in there. Daddy claimed that this is a relaxing trip and he must have a good place to rest so I let him make the choice with the condition that it must be in Pratunam area. I suggested GLOW but in the end we got Amari Watergate Hotel instead.

I sit here all night watching Triumph in the Sky 2 while munching longan and yogurt!
Their wifi is super fast too.

Bar by the pool side

I've been hearing about klonuts quite some time ago and saw the one in Publika but I didn't go for it. Surprisingly, in Bangkok only Cascade cafe serves cronut and it is located at the lobby of our hotel. We got two cronuts at the price of 40 baht only coz they were having this promo buy 1 free 1 if you snap a photo of it and upload it.

Cronut - Croissant-like doughnut
Some nights they also have some music performance at the lobby
I totally forgot to pack my swimming stuff over and I was so determined to find a piece so that I can swim for at least one morning. But everyday go shopping also I forgot about it or I'd be telling myself still got time to look for it. In the end I only managed to get it in Chatuchak and wore it on the morning we were supposed to leave the place.

Found a rooftop garden on the same floor as the swimming pool and spa.
I lost my instavideo taken at this beautiful place!

My smurfette high waist bikini!
With fat legs, fat arms and small boobs me :(

That's where I stayed for my Bangkok 2013 trip!

Baht-room rules: Be prepared to return with a fat belly

Before I depart for my Bangkok trip, many friends thought I'll be going with my family but the fact it's just me and daddy. The first question that pops through our head was 'Seriously? Won't it be awkward?'. That was exactly what that worries me, but don't care la coz I'm gonna leave him soon :( But the trip turned out to be pretty funny and nice, just lack of photos coz daddy don't wanna help me take my #ootd shots
Us in the pink cab! Omfg why my face so damn big one...

Basically on the first day we didn't do much, had our lunch in Platinum mall food court and we separated for almost three hours coz I need some time in Platinum mall. But seriously without my girlfriends to give me opinions, very difficult to shop. Not gonna talk about the food in Platinum mall, not worth to waste words describing them so you can skip the food court.
Daddy ordered this cute thingy but it tasted sweet (I cannot take it!)

The title of our trip is so called Callie brings Daddy for Bangkok food, where I wanna to introduce all my fav food there to him. God knows how pressured I was coz daddy's taste buds are not that easily satisfied. So my first recommendation..... Som Tam Nua
Mind you if you are like us, who wants to take sour and spicy, go for the Mango salad not the Papaya salad. The one above is the papaya salad. The fish is not bad also, but I prefer the peanut fish I had in Somboon the last time. Lastly the fried chicken which cannot be missed. But somehow I feel like the last time when I had these dishes it tasted even more delicious. Prolly coz we were too exhausted after those whole day shopping routine.

I also found out that there is actually another outlet in Siam Centre. After our full full meal, we slowly walk back to our hotel (which I will do in a separate post) while spotting for our potential meals lol.
Somehow it was like longan season in Thailand. I tried one and it was super duper sweet and juicy so we couldn't resist to buy some back to hotel. For the rest of the nights, we had lots of fruit stored in the fridge as well like watermelon, pineapple and pamelo. 好像前世沒有吃過水果这样 -.-

Lastly, I'm ending this with my current favourite flight outfit.

Till then, wait for my continuation on Bangkok!

Bangkok: Day 3 and 4

Probably the last post for the month of November. Mocks exam are near. Back to Bangkok.

#ootd with our just woke-up face. Puffy face and eyes. Or maybe just me.

Matching bunny hair tie :D

Off we go to Chatuchak market! Shared a light breakfast on the way out from our hotel

Noodles by some roadside stall

Lunch at Chatuchak market

Kuay teow soup with Chicken thigh

More coconut to quench our thirst

Hearty snack: coconut ice-cream <3

Coconut ice-cream w/ coconut flesh and roasted peanuts
I miss this so much!

Searching for Stephyy's stuff

The weather was getting hotter so we decided to leave and head to Siam Paragon. It was like afternoon 3'ish and no taxis were willing to take us from Chatuchak to Siam Paragon. We had stopped almost 10 taxis. Or maybe more. So I think next time have to leave either earlier or late night?
And unexpectedly, it was the grand opening of H&M in Siam Paragon. Lots of people queuing just to get into the store. Just like how it was at H&M Lot 10. We didn't intend to do any shopping in Siam Paragon, so it had to be the food. The whole food hall is like a heaven with snacks and all the yummy food. The top ones being listed down in my must-eat list is After You Dessert Cafe and MOS Burger. I know there's MOS in Singapore but somehow I just never once eaten it before.

Some snacks in Siam Paragon :
Thai fish cake centered with Century egg

Swirling Potato chips

Liquid Nitrogen ice-cream Demo

Thin crust pancake

Taiyaki!
Tried the custard one, erm.. Not good.
Still miss the one I had in Asakusa, Tokyo :(

Thai fish cake centered with Salted egg

It was almost 9.30 at night and we were in dilemma. Whether to have After You that night or return next morning and eat it before flying home.
Finally here. One of my mission is to eat here :)

Waited around 20-25 minutes for a table.

Really wanna fly to Bangkok now to have a taste of their Signature Baked Egg Toast

Making full use of the big mirror behind us

Served with a cup of honey water. Just very light hint of honey and very cooling, suitable to pair it up with desserts

Matcha Toast

Shibuya Honey Toast - the bomb! Irresistible *drools*

Pour the jug of honey over it. The fragrance of the honey....

We had a fun time eating it coz it was so good, and how we actually fight over for the last bite of hone toast was hilarious. Yet we were so generous to be offering each other the last bite of Matcha Toast lol

You won't regret it!

Headed back hotel to do some packing...

And met two girls I've known from my Taiwan trip two years ago.
Mavis xiao wen and Wendy who came from Singapore. Just for a weekend trip

Day 4

Heading out for our last shopping spree and brunch

While waiting for the malls to open..

Disney's tiny cute cup noodles

Last lunch at MOS Burger!

The limited edition Umakara MOS Burger
Beef with some special sauce. The look is deceiving though

Pork burger with Cheese

Forgive me. I can't wait anymore!

MOS Signature rice burger. Takokatsu rice buger. Heavenly delicious...

Yakiniku rice burger

Walked along way to get our luggages, then to the BTS station to catch the rail link to Suvarnabhumi Airport. To pass time, we settled down at a Thai restaurant (expensive one coz not much choice) while waiting for out flight. But in the end we chat for too long and were among the last few who boarded the plane. The LAST CALL word was alerting at the boarding gate already!

Sad sad coz have to leave ady and the next day got Maths C4 test :(

Tired maxx...

That marks the end of the 4 days 3 nights trip in Bangkok. Blessed to have them with me throughout the trip.
Sawaadeeka :)

Hopefully I can visit bangkok again after exams next year.
Totally miss the food there.. and had no time for mani-pedi and massage
Another reason to revisit the place!
