Ippudo!

I'm back! from lazy-land... To blog about some trend in kl lately. Harlem Shake? Nope nope I'm bias to food. Ramen craze it is! So far I've tried Santouka, Yamagoya and Marutama. Love the mentaiko rice served in Marutama
If you ask for the latest trendy eatery in town, it would definitely be Ippudo which serves authentic Japanese Ramen. Previously the latest outlet would only be found in Singapore (which I haven't visited despite so many trips to Singaland) but now Pavilion has settled our problem.
Hakata is where Ippudo has its first shop.
Went on their soft opening. It's officially open now!
Shiromaru Tamago
Classic Hakata-style ramen
Ippudo's original tonkotsu broth served with ultra thin noodles, belly chashu,
bean sprouts, kikurage, a flavored egg & spring onions
Karaka-men

One thing I had to mention about is their service. The waiter and waitress were extremely helpful and really try their best to make sure that the customers have what is needed to complete the bowl of ramen serve. Rene and I were feeling abit weird as the friendliness is rarely seen in restaurants nowadays #cultureshock?
Even just a ramen shop originated from Japan can japanified the services in M'sia! Love for Japan +++

My hairstyle throughout CNY. All up for that entire two weeks.
No mood to take picture with Rene or anyone else also :(

Time to hit the sack!

Crumbs Frozen Yogurt

Since Crumbs is my Favourite fro-yo, I think it's a good thing that I can just blog bout it so more people can go and give it a try. Coz it is really incredibly yummy.
Let's start with how I found out Crumbs in Hong Kong.

Before going Hong Kong last June, I was trying to dig all the nice food recommended in food blogs. Luckily i did try the froyo there despite feeling 101% full after each meal in Hong Kong.

Crumbs Froyo Station! @Cannon street, Causeway Bay.

Regular with 2 toppings: HKD 32 *pricey but ohnomnom*

They serve only original fro-yo, no fancy flavours, but they have awesome selection of toppings such as mini meringue, mochi, green tea mochi, blueberries, strawberries, mango, oreo, roasted peanuts and a lot more. BUT the bomb of Crumbs is their signature House Crumb! You can't have their fro-yo without topping it with house crumb. It taste just like the crumbs from apple crumble, crunchy and cinammon-y!

Told my dad all about crumbs and he decided to try it on the next day. So we went the another outlet at Granville Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. And daddy loves it too!

Without second thought, it's always house crumb and strawberry/blueberry.

CRUMBS

When my sister came back to Malaysia, I was telling her how nice Crumbs' froyo is and she was dying to try it, But no way because it was far at Hong Kong. But when she went back to UK, there comes a good news for us but bad news for her. Crumbs is opening an outlet in Pavilion KL during October 2011. Too bad for her as she has to wait for a year to try Crumbs. Haha but she has Snog froyo there..

At that time I was dying to go Pavilion immediately. So I brought along my girls to try it out during Stephyy's birthday. The day where we skipped school just to celebrated baby Stephyy's bday :P

Crumbs @Pavilion KL Level One

The frozen yogurt is priced at RM11 for a regular one with one topping and RM12.90 for a large one with two toppings.

Dropping by on Saturdays allow u to have free house crumb toppings! And now Crumbs is having their loyalty card. 6 stamps and you get a free topping, 12 for a free fro-yo

And not to forget their famous scones. Although I haven't tried them yet, but they do look very tasty. 3 flavours to choose from: Chocolate, Raisin and savoury Cheese. RM2.90 each.  It would make a perfect tea break snack.

Btw, it's Earth Hour 2012 so Crumbs is giving away RM5 cash voucher for every purchase of 2 large Froyo from 8.30-9.30pm.
Don't miss it!

Going Pavilion after finishing this blog post. Teehee ^.^
