Skewer x Wine

First time inviting my friends over for a barbecue night. The preparation was very time-and-energy-consuming; poking the chicken, leeks and mushroom, squeezing more than a hundred lime to make fizzy sour plum lime drink(especially for Zhibang who doesn't drink alcohol), wrapping assam sotong and lady finger, wrapping otak-otak..... used up the whole afternoon
As usual, although it's called a barbecue night, we girls and Fred never cook any of those pork lamb chicken. The only time we were near the fire was for roasted marshmallow or snapping these photos lol. The whole night we just sit there, eat-talk-drink.. until cake cutting moment!
Last year we didn't have a cake for peggypiggy coz she was too full after her atas meal in Gaucho, over looking the night view at Tower Bridge. Since all of us love durian, we found this bakery online and decided to give their durian cheesecake a try. The cake is simply amazing!
You can still chew the bits of durian flesh and the durian flavour is so rich. Definitely one of my favourite #cakeofthemonth Someone please order this cake again and let me have a slice! Besides durian cheese, they have many other flavours for chilled cheesecake too like passionfruit, mango, cempedak and more. Do check out their site for desserts.

Will miss these bunch of high school mates like crazy :(

  Good night, sleep tight!

Greatest man in my life

Double celebration for Daddy's big day. Even I didn't get such treat for my birthday.
A Japanese lunch on the exact day, and I bought him another breakfast meal. This also explains why I'm so broke this month.

Had Japanese cuisine at one of my favourite restaurant Nihon Kai at Old Klang Road which offers good Japanese food but in moderate prices. Great! Beside being full every weekends, now even lunch time it's packed.
Food we had were:
Kurage Su

Wakame Su
Tanin Don

Soft Shell Crab Maki
Tauhu

Niku Udon
Gyoza!

Torikatsunabe sashimi. Chicken cutlet w scrambled egg and raw fish

At night, we bought some cake from RT Pastry at Taman Desa for daddy. Hokkaido cake and Tiramisu :)

 The fluffy texture, creamy centered.

Lack of one member

What did I gave daddy for his birthday?? Previous few years I would always share with sis to bring him for a good meal, this year she's in uk, so I have to bear the cost alone. And I chose the place. Heard from my friends that it's nice. So Sunday morning we went to Xin Cuisine @ Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Always start off dimsum with a nice pot of Chinese tea. Chose Kuan Yin Tea for the day.

The dimsum was really good and the place is suitable for a family gathering. The chef also came out to introduce some speciality of the day to some of the frequent customers. Service was good too.
