La lapin blanc maison de thé x The White Rabbit TeaHouse

It just hit me that I have not blog about my favourite teahouse. Most of my friends in UK were busy last weekend, catching the train to Nottingham for the Nottingham Malaysian Games. Looking at all those photos where high school or college friends reunite, it really makes me miss those friends and the nice place there.

Nottingham's friendliest place for tea, cakes and a tasty snack

If I ever have another chance to visit Notts, White Rabbit TeaHouse is a must-go, on the very top of my list.

This is how old this post supposed to be. When I still have bangs.

Loving every detail in that small shop. From the setting, the teapots, the cutlery, the food and even the washroom lol. Yes i mean it when I say you must visit their washroom haha

A slice of lemon cake

Toasted Ham & Cheese

My absolute favorite : Scones with cornish clotted cream & jam

In short, The White Rabbit Teahouse is a fashionable yet cosy place to enjoy home-made sweet and savoury snacks throughout the day. In particular they specialise in afternoon tea, deliciously hand decorated cake and home-made scones, served in traditional china.

Do pay a visit there when u visit to Notts!
Bon appetite

Borough Market, London

Borough Market - the largest and oldest food market in London. How to get there?
We went there by underground tube services, stopped at London Bridge station and cross Borough High Street after you exit the station.
My sister insisted on bringing us here for ostrich burger but unfortunately it was closed on that day. #saddieme coz it's food we're talking about, ostrich burger isn't a common food and I wanna try it.
Something else which attracts the crowd to Borough market would be Monmouth coffee, regularly touted as the best coffee shop in London. Not being a coffee connoisseur, I actually don't really know how to judge what you called the best coffee. I chose a cup of flat white takeaway and it taste good, worth another visit.
Fish & Chips - a typical British food. Shared one haddock and it cost us around 8 GBP, which is considered pricey as I can get it much cheaper back in Notts.
Since ostrich is now out of the picture, we decided to go into water, fishing for some oysters. Selection of Rocks and complimentary bread at Wright Brothers Oyster & Porter House
While we were about to leave the market, we couldn't help but to stop as we smell something nice and we see people surrounding this stall. I don't think this is a permanent stall so you might not get the same thing when you visit Borough market but don't worry you might be lucky if the ostrich burger is open!
Top : Le Mac Diot - pork sausages from Savoie cooked with wine and onions
Bottom : Tartiflette - famous Savoie dish made with potatoes, onions, white wine, bacon and reblochon cheese (tried this one only, it's carbs but yummy esp. on a windy morning)

That's what I had during a morning at Borough Market.
A place to revisit when I'm in London? Yes pls. Ostrich burger craving not satisfied yet.

Till then, have a great Monday!

Aventura en Espana 4.0

Last day would be the visit-Gaudi's-architecture day. Before just buildings coming in, be sure to take a happy pill first!
No photos allowed in the shop

With some candy in hand, we can proceed to Casa Batlló.
Casa Battlo, also known as the house of bones coz of it's unique structure - irregular and decorated with blue, orange and green mosaic..
Seems like there's no straight lines in the whole structure

Look carefully! (bad picture)
The roof is arched, like the back of a dragon, with purplish scales.

As usual, it's just snap snap and off we go for brunch lol.. Did some research on places serving best tapas - Catalana it is!
Quite a queue out there
Spanish omelette
Deep fried baby squid
Salted anchovies
Complimentary tomato spread on bruschetta bread
Tapas here are really recommended *thumbs up*

Next up, Sagrada Familia where we finally poured in some money for those sight-seeing attractions. Painful waste! But just remember to bring your student card if you decide to visit the interior.
2 euros off for students!
The Gaudi lamppost

Last stop at MareMagnum. Dining in TapaTapa and watching the sunset by the harbour.

Regret much for not ordering their seafood paella :(

That's really the end of Barcelona trip. Really sorry for the extremely delayed post (to myself esp) sigh....
Lastly..

SMILE BIG!

Aventura en Espana 1.0

Hola!
Barcelona has always been top of the numerous countries I wanna visit. It's a right choice I'm there for summer, long day for exploring the city. The weather is hot, but not that bad and the nights are actually cold..

Took a morning flight from Lisbon to Barcelona and started our journey immediately.
First thing that pops in your head must be Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, with an entrance from the famous La Rambla. The hotel is located in one of the branch streets in La Rambla so the market is very near us.
Our hotel, no modern glamorous type. Europe's all about saving every penny where you can.

We were quite hungry so hunt for food first, brunch at El Quim
Around 6 chefs cooking in that small area
Europe's usual bread starter

Razor Clams
El Quim's Speciality : Two fried eggs with baby squid
Omg this is like really too good. I can't even describe :o
But a pricey dish (19 euros)
Assorted wild mushrooms

There is just so many types of food sold in this market.
Cheers to all the mix juices
Saw this adorable piggy so I decided to imitate it

Then I met my second love, savoury crepes... in the making..
The one behind the good crepe
#yuminmytum
Mojito popsicle
Bread, Iberian ham, chorizo and salami

That's what I have tried in Mercat la Boqueria.
Anything nicer food there which I have missed?
I can't believe how efficient I am HAHA
Heading out for CNY shopping with my girls  ♥
