First time inviting my friends over for a barbecue night. The preparation was very time-and-energy-consuming; poking the chicken, leeks and mushroom, squeezing more than a hundred lime to make fizzy sour plum lime drink(especially for Zhibang who doesn't drink alcohol), wrapping assam sotong and lady finger, wrapping otak-otak..... used up the whole afternoon
As usual, although it's called a barbecue night, we girls and Fred never cook any of those pork lamb chicken. The only time we were near the fire was for roasted marshmallow or snapping these photos lol. The whole night we just sit there, eat-talk-drink.. until cake cutting moment!
Last year we didn't have a cake for peggypiggy coz she was too full after her atas meal in Gaucho, over looking the night view at Tower Bridge. Since all of us love durian, we found this bakery online and decided to give their durian cheesecake a try. The cake is simply amazing!
You can still chew the bits of durian flesh and the durian flavour is so rich. Definitely one of my favourite #cakeofthemonth Someone please order this cake again and let me have a slice! Besides durian cheese, they have many other flavours for chilled cheesecake too like passionfruit, mango, cempedak and more. Do check out their site for desserts.
