Continuation of adventures in Lisbon!

Food is like the most important thing to me. I can just skip going to all the attractions but if I know there is any must-eat recommended, I have to be there. Have to try it! So I did help to do some homework, looking for makan places ;)

First dinner in Lisbon....  Bonjardim
# Best piri-piri Chicken in Lisbon

Bonjardim is like a little gem, tucked away in some side street. Kinda difficult to locate the restaurant.

Always start off with bread, butter and cheese

Portuguese Cod Fish Cake

The famous piri-piri chicken.
No doubt Nando's is delicious, but Bonjardim serves one good piri-piri chicken too. Crispy golden skin with juicy tender flesh within.

Pair it up with ice-cold Super Bock

Next up, the drink of Lisbon.... Ginjinha
It's a liquer made by infusing ginja berries which are sour cherries in alcohol + sugar.

Served in a shot form ( but plastic -.-) with pieces of fruit in it

Wandering around after dinner. It's probably about 9 pm but sky is still bright.

Always take care of your bag, never know when the pickpocket strikes

Next up, another nice spot for lunch. For me, famous restaurants are must-try. So nice spot may = famous spot.
So this famous cafe I found is Cafe a brasileira do Chiado in a district named Chiado lol.
IT'S ONE OF THE OLDEST AND MOST FAMOUS CAFES IN LISBON! Cafe Nicola is famous too but not enough time for it :(

Bar section at the entrance. Go one floor down for a quiet environment.

Assorted bread, butter & cheese

This bread is so yummy and crispy till we forgot all about less carb. And those really smelly cheese *yums*

Starter - Tapas Sortida (assorted tapas where we ordered this platter of ham and cheese slice w/ olives)

Ameijoa Bulhao pato ( Juicy clams in lemony sour sauce) *thumbs up*

Bife ( Steak topped w/ an egg and coffee sauce all over it)
This is one speciality as this cafe is famous for it's bica(coffee), so every bite is filled with the coffee aroma.

Lastly, end it with a glass of cappuccino

After the sinful meal around Praca do Chiado, have a stroll to Praca do Comercio. To snap more photos of Lisbon's attraction, trying to cover as much places as we can.

No idea why there were soldiers marching there and Portugal national flag being raised.

Can't be going to Praca do Comercio just to take photo right? It's just like a spacious square, nothing much, it's everywhere in Spain and Portugal. Another one i remember, Praca do Rossio, near to where I stayed.
Always plan nicely where to go. Find out the most stuff do-able in the area. Coz it's all about walking.

Introducing another chillax location right after being under the hot sun.
Like tasting different types of Portuguese wine?  FREE!

Visit ViniPortugal for free wine tasting!

Wines from different Portuguese regions

Trying the second type of wine : Rosado (rose) wine

In total, they let us try four different types of wine. If my dory-memory doesn't fail me, it's white, rose, red then sweet wine. A questionnaire is given after each wine, to rate the smell, taste etc..
It is a nice place to chill especially during the hot afternoon, maybe after lunch coz you can enjoy some after-meal wine in a nice and relaxed atmosphere. There are high-top tables as well as comfortable cushioned seats in the tasting room.

Needed the comfy seats after the four glasses of wine, coz i was tipsy or basically drunk. Oh yes in the afternoon. Sis and I had to take a rest there for almost 20 or more minutes in order to continue our city trip wth.

Putting a pause right here.
Need to hit the gym already.
