Swine x Namoo on the Park

Writing this by my bed. Late night. Have quite a lot of things going on this month, pls let me have time to blog all about it *pray*
Precious post was about the bro's bday, this is again one more birthday post, Gab's 18th. But it's more like a Lunch x Dessert post! Title inspired by Juin! Hyped up at the thought of food :D

This is the typical me.

So we have been planning a surprise for Gab, breaking her heart telling her that we can't celebrate with her. My lame excuse was that I had to study lol.. Juin and YenJin had to ensure that she's seated at the right spot for us to surprise her from the back. And proud to say, we managed to pull it off successfully. She was surprised to see us! Btw we also met Vic and Jinyang. We were seated quite close so we had to shift coz we can be quite crazy when we eat talk and snap photos/ the other area got better lighting hehe




Lunch at Swine Cafe, Publika, another creation of the BIG group. 

Have been hearing quite some good review about Swine but sadly no one brought me there. So finally here I am, and now sharing some porky dish they serve.

The classic Eggs Benedict
With hollandaise, baked ham and arugula on toasted English muffin
But I prefer Eggs Atlantic  from The RBB :P

Spicy Bacon and Mushrooms
Olio style spaghetti with chorizo, panchetta chunks, sauteed button mushrooms, arugula and chilli flakes

Sausage and Bacon Chunks
Spaghetti tossed with garlic sausages and bacon chunks in tomato-capsicum concasse with cream
I expect it to be dreadfully creamy, but turns out it's not. Quite like it! 

Asian style Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop
topped with a fried egg, doused with light soya sauce and steamed white rice

a bowl of salted vegetable soup and the chilli mix garlic sauce.

French Toast with Grilled Bananas
Two slices of french toast, topped with a dollop of peanut butter, caramelised banana
and drizzled with maple syrup, served with two slices of applewood smoked bacon. 

This is one sinful breakfast. The thick slab of peanut butter, I can't even finish it.

The birthday girl Gabby! 

We were stuck there for two hours. Inclusive of all the eating, gossiping and capturing our memorable moments. We've only known each other for 12 months, and there were some misunderstanding in between but glad that we got past it and are good now :)
Oh boy this post is getting emo nemo...

Finally left Swine? Yup but loitered in B.I.G for a little while. What are we doing there? Trying to do some cool shots #failure


Random artistic bench though..

A perfect meal comes with the full package. Or at least 2/3. We skipped the entree part, but never can one miss the dessert. As usual, being the one who always look for food and being assumed knows best about food, I suggested Namoo on the Park, a Korean dessert cafe which also serves Savoury dish.

It's actually my second visit. Previously I have tried some of their main course but frankly i prefer going to traditional Korean restaurant, but heard tons of positive comments about their remarkable desserts.
Without further blabbering, let me present you two mouth-watering dessert:

The famous Sweet Potato Cake

Hottuk Pancake
Tasted like cinnamon inside

It's your choice of berries, banana or chocolate peanut butter
We had too much of peanut butter at Swine..

Hottuck pancake is best eaten warm. Don't be like us taking too much photos, so it ended up abit hard.

Chose to sit outside - afraid we might be too noisy - luckily not very hot. It's quite a good choice too coz there's a little playground beside - perfect for some photos *not again?!* lol

It's 1.30 am already, which means it's also 21122012 - Doomsday. Can't predict what's gonna happen tomorr and can't do anything about it. So just Keep Calm and Go HighTea! That's what my girls and I are doing for tomorrow. Better get some sleep now.
